The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
